Tomato rice

Tomato rice (A simple and easy dish to make)

Tomato - 2 chopped
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic -chopped or paste
Garam masala or biriyani masala- 1/4 tsp
yogurt-2 tsp
Rice - 2 cups
(prepared with left rice or basmati rice)
Onion(medium) - 1 no
ghee or coconut oil- As u needed
Salt - As u needed
fenugreek leaves (uluva ela) or u can add curry leaf
cashew -if u needed

1)Heat the ghee

2)Add cumin seeds, fenugreek leaves or curry leaves and sauté for 1 - 2 mins.

3) Add cashew,ginger and garlic and saute
4) add onion and fry until it turns light brown

5)Add tomato and saute.until the raw smell go

6) Add biriyani masala or garam masala and salt.

7)Add the rice to the mixture and add water according to ur biriyani rice and cook in a pressure cooker up to 2 or 3 whistle (u can also cook it in some open vessel).just open it after 15 min.

u can serve it with.curd,mango pickle,
or chicken curry as welll

note ...u can also add coriander leaves if u needed
