badam chicken curry

Whole chicken - 1 kg
(cut into small pieces)
Yoghurt/Curd(Thayiru) - 1 cup
Onions-3 chopped
Ginger - 1 piece
Garlic - 10
Cloves(Grambu) - 6 nos
Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 2 small piece
Almonds(Badam) - 10
Cardamom(Elakka) - 4
Cashew nuts - 10
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Oil - 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Chilly powder - As reqd
garnishing-coriander leaf

1)Make a paste of ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms, cashews and almonds.

2)Heat oil in a big vessel.

3)Add the chopped onions and fry until they turn golden.

4)Add the gridded masala and fry well.

5)While frying this paste, add 3-4 tbsp of water and cook till the raw smell goes

6)Add yoghurt and the chicken.

7)Add salt, turmeric, and chilly powder. Cook for 10 minutes.

8)Add coconut milk and cook till done.

9)Garnish with coriander leaves.
