Peanut chutney(kappalandi chamandhi) for dosa and idly


Peanuts - 1/3 cup
Small Onion(Shallots) - 14
Red Chillies - 2
Garlic -2
Tamarind - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste

To temper

Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
uzhunnu parippu(black gram) - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
kayam(Hing) - a pinch

1...Roast the peanut and remove the skin..(or either buy roasted peanuts) and keep
aside
2...Add onion ,garlic,red chillies and tamarind and saute and grind it along with
peanuts
3...grind it to a smooth paste
4...then heat the oil ...and add the remaining item listed under 'to temper'..(kaduku
varukuka)..then add it to chutney

*serve it with idly and dosa...:)
